HEY PIANO 4U

Editorial Policy and Corrections

Last updated: October 22, 2026

We want the guides and songs on Hey Piano 4U to be correct and useful. This page explains how we make them and what to do if you find a mistake.

Guides in the Learn section

Our articles explain music basics for beginners: the keyboard layout, rhythm, scales, chords, MIDI, the difference between piano and organ and how the synth choir works. They are written in plain language, based on standard music theory and widely documented facts about instruments and technology. Where a fact depends on a browser or a device, we say so. The articles are drafted with the help of an AI writing assistant and then checked and edited before publication. They are educational and are not paid placements: no company pays to be mentioned.

Songs and arrangements

We publish only music that is safe to share: compositions in the public domain, and original pieces written for this site. Famous tunes are simplified on purpose — the left hand is kept easy, long pieces may be shortened to a first section, and some keys are changed to suit a keyboard of 61 keys. The title and composer shown beside each song describe the source tune; they do not mean the arrangement matches a published edition note for note. If you see “opening” or “first section” in a title, only that part of the piece is included.

Recordings

The organ listening room lists recordings found on the Internet Archive. We checked the licence stated on each item at the time of listing (public domain, CC0, CC BY or CC BY-SA) and show it next to the track. Licence statements on third-party sites can be wrong or change, so tell us if one looks incorrect and we will review or remove the track. We do not own these recordings and we do not edit their content, except that some long files were re-encoded at a lower bitrate so they load faster.

The “My instrumentals” tracks in the Play along panel are different: they are instrumental pieces created by the site owner using AI music-generation software and are owned by him. They are not recordings of human performers, and they were converted to 128 kbps MP3 so they load quickly. Please do not copy them for reuse without asking first.

Advertising and independence

Editorial decisions are made independently of advertisers. If the site shows ads, they will be labelled by the ad provider and kept separate from articles. We do not accept payment to recommend products. We currently run no affiliate links.

Corrections

If you find a wrong note, a wrong rhythm, a factual error or a broken link, email citylinks4u@gmail.com with the song or article name and what is wrong. For songs, the bar number helps. We check reports, fix confirmed errors as soon as we can, and for a significant factual correction in an article we add a note saying what changed and when.

Who is responsible
